Frequently asked questions

Animals are welcome. We charge CHF 10.00 per animal per day, without food.

You arrive by car in front of our hotel. With the public transport, the postal bus will drop you off 50 meters from the hotel at the “Carovila” stop.

The breakfast buffet is open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. If you have to leave early, we will prepare a simple breakfast for you in our lounge.

The Post Bus takes you to all the villages in the valley. In summer it also goes up to the Moiry dam. Timetables are posted at the entrance of the Hotel. The bus stop is 50m in front of the Tourist Office.

Your room will be ready from 2 p.m on. Check-out will be at around 10 a.m.

In seven minutes you walk through the car-free centre of one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. In winter, a free shuttle bus is available.

Tap water is of high quality. In your room you will find empty water bottles to fill up. This way you can enjoy our mountain spring water throughout your stay.

Adapters are available for a deposit.

A kettle is available on request.

Available free of charge: Baby bed with sheets, kettle, baby chair in the breakfast room. Our kitchen will glad to heat up food and/or milk for your baby.

In the hotel you have free High Speed WLAN Internet access in the rooms as well as in the public areas. You will need access data, which we will be happy to provide upon your arrival.

We have two shops in the village. A Coop and the Marché Villageois. Opening hours vary according to the season.

If needed, we can provide you with walking sticks and topographic maps of the Val d’Anniviers.

Our establishment offers a laundry service. You will find all the necessary information on the form displayed in your room. Our reception is at your disposal for any further information.

You can leave your luggage free of charge on the day of arrival before your check-in or on the day of departure after your check out.

If you book your stay with half board you will eat in our dining room “La Faune de Moiry” or during the summer on our sunny terrace. If you book your room only with breakfast, you can eat à la carte in the restaurant.

Note for half board: If you would like to eat out in the evening, please let us know at breakfast time and we will credit the dinner to your bill. Half board meals are served from 18:30 to 20:00.

If you are going out in the evening, please take your room key with you. This opens the door to the main entrance of the hotel. Don’t forget to lock it when you come back at night.

There is a public car park next to the hotel. In summer the parking cost CHF 5.- per day, in winter you pay CHF 10.- per day.

An additional pillow is available on request.

According to your wishes, we will prepare picnics for you. Fill in the order form and return it the day before before 19:00.

In the restaurant we serve meals from 11:30 to 14:00 and from 18:30 to 21:00. Don’t forget to reserve your table.

All our rooms have a safe. However, your valuables are not insured by the Hotel de Moiry.

Free shuttle bus to the gondola. Stop 50 m below the hotel, in front of the tourist office.

You can order ski passes from us (at least 30 days before your arrival) or directly at the ski lift office.

You can store your skis and boots in our ski-room, which has a boot dryer. Ski boots and skis are not allowed in the rooms and corridors of the hotel.

Our Hotel is “non-smoking”. It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the rooms, especially in the bed, or atthe windows of the rooms. If you still smoke, we will charge you for the chemical cleaning of the bedding and curtains.
