In Grimentz, on the 12th of june 10, we invit you to watch with us the famous cow fights, when our cattle goes up to the Avoin Alp.
Come and join us also in Grimentz on the 25th of september 10 in order to assist to the désalpe of our fighting cows, when they come down to Grimentz from their mountain pastures, the Moiry Alp.
During these days you can see the famous fighting cows of our special bovine species, which is unique to the world: the Hérens species.
As soon as one of our cows gets out of the stables and meets another cow she does not know, or she has not seen for a while, they start combating in order to establish their herd hierarchy. These cow fights are natural.
